How To Install A Filtrete™ Whole House Air Freshener

Step 1

For 1" filters: Fold plastic hang tab along the two creases to form a “U” shape. For larger filters: Fold plastic hang tab along the inner crease to form an “L” shape.
Step 2

Peel back the clear protective film and discard.
Step 3

Optional: For a stronger scent, remove one or both perforated Scent Boost strips from the backing material.
Step 4

Attach to the filter side farthest from the blower motor using the enclosed Command® Strip.

How does it work?

Filtrete™ Whole House Air Fresheners attach to your HVAC filter and use your air vents to deliver pleasant fragrance throughout your whole home. For best results, your HVAC system fan should be set to “on” (not “auto”) to continuously circulate the fragrance.
How long does the fragrance last?

A number of factors affect the life of the fragrance, including home size, how quickly your nose gets used to a scent, and whether you remove any Scent Boost strips. In general, Whole House Air Fresheners deliver consistent, long-lasting scent throughout your home.
Can I adjust the strength of the scent?

Yes! Our new Scent Boost technology allows you to make the scent stronger to personalize your fragrance experience. Just remove one or both Scent Boost strips from the backing material to provide an extra boost of fragrance.
How many Whole House Air Fresheners will I need for my home?

Every nose, and every home, is different. In many cases, one Whole House Air Freshener will be enough to deliver fragrance throughout your home. For homes larger than 3,000 sq. ft., homes with many competing scents, or users who are less sensitive to smells, a second Whole House Air Freshener may be desirable.
