Rated 3 out of 5 by from loved it but.... I bought this when I was brought home my son from the NICU.. I loved it and could tell the difference in my home... fast forward to a few months later it started to make a weird noise (sounds like something was broken inside).I spent way to much moeny on this product for it to break in a few months.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DON'T BUY IT I bought this in the late summer of 2019, and it is extremely loud. Fast forward to today it is making all sort of squeals and noises.... the bearing/motor from the fan is failing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best HEPA PURIFIER EVER!! i read the reviews first and being in the hvac industry i understand a concern about more power draw than a box fan, however you cannot compare apples to oranges, if you place filters behind a box fan to draw air thru, your box fan will draw more power and bur out as its not designed for that. whereas this kodel is. further i suggest getting a real good IAQ meter decent ones are about a hundred bucks. test your air before and after running for a day. we remodeled and our hcho tvoc and pm2.5 were all at a dangerous level due to a shower tile guy not having a filter on his shop vac all particles covered everything, after one day it was acceptable after one week the air was back to safe. as for the clip breaking if you ise it in the manner which it was designed you should not have any problems. and finally as far as vibration filters and prefilters must be maintained failure to do so will result in a clogged prefilter thus leading debris to the blower wheel which will knock it out of balance. Filtrete has been around for as long as i can remember and I have always supplied my customers with their filters they are indeed TOP QUALITY!! thank you, 35 yr hvac expert.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Was better than our last filter but... Purchased this filter in January 2019. In September 2019, the clip that holds the whole filter housing down failed, allowing the main filter to rise, effectively bypassing it. Reading other reviews, this appears to be a known issue.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Broke after 3 months of use I was initially very happy with my purchase so much so that I purchased a second air purifier. It works well however after changing out the filter the filter housing keeps popping up rendering the purifier useless. Hopefully the same does not happen with my other air purifier when I replace that filter. Paying $200 for only three months of use is not acceptable.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Both happy and disappointed I both love and hate this air purifier. For the money (I was not given this free in exchange for my review), I had to share my thoughts. Pros: - I really like the pre-filters - Air exhausts at the top, rather than out the front like some other models - On low speed, unit is quiet enough. - Very pleased with the amount of dust captured Cons: - Extremely expensive - On fan speeds 2, 3, and 4 the purifier is louder than expected - Developed a vibration in the first 2 weeks and had to be exchanged - ENERGY CONSUMPTION is high I was very surprised at energy consumption: 83 watts on low, and 166 watts on high. This is DOUBLE the energy consumption of a standard 20" box fan. On in another way, a 60w LED bulb consumes about 9 watts. Running this Air Purifier is like leaving 9 (low) - 18 (high) lights on all day! If you take the cost of the machine, the cost of electricity, and the cost of filters, this is a VERY, VERY expensive fan!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Good design, but cheap plastic parts. This is essentially a fan that blows air into a $10 filter, which is perfectly fine, that's what it's supposed to do, but this thing costs $200. I know it's competive to the competition, but why do any of these things cost so much? Anyways. It works really well, but the casing is cheap thin plastic, and the ejection mechanism for the filter broke on mine the first time I ejected the filter. It would be relatively solid product if they didn't make the casing out of the thinest, most brittle plastic ever. On the positive, it makes a nice white noise to my new family and I to sleep to on the two lowest settings. Even the two high settings aren't terribly noisy. I used mine after some home renovations and you could see the dust getting stuck to the outside of this thing within hours. When I did remove the filter you could feel the weight of the dust that it collected in it. The prefilters and HEPA were all saturated. It worked amazingly until I changed the filter and the ejection latch mechanism failed because it was cheap plastic and an even cheaper undersized spring operating it. I'll have to return it sadly. If 3m used $5 out of the $200 this thing costs to make it out of stronger materials it would be a perfect, although still expensive, product in my opinion. Instead they tried to squeeze every penny of profit and created a cheap plastic box with a nice motor in it. One star since it ultimately broke and is unusable. A real shame.
